Popayán is located in the department of Cauca at 1700m above sea level. The regions geography is perfect to grow exceptional coffee.

The so-called Meseta de Popayan is sheltered by the Andes which helps support an extremely stable climate, which together with the volcanic ash soil and annual rainfall of 1700-2000mm results in a balanced cup profile with floral and caramel tasting notes.

We work in partnership with speciality coffee importer Cofinet for this coffee, and they have collaborated with about 65 local coffee farmers. Coffee is assessed based on quality and premiums of up to 20% above market price are available to these farmers when their crops are particularly special!

Altitude: 1500-2070 masl.

Varietal: Colombia, Castillo, Caturra, Catimor, Typica.
